Young and happy – is there anything better? Megan and Steve are the epitome of it. Their wedding day in Key West was just so wonderful, they couldn’t stop beaming if they tried. That’s what it’s all about.

Megan's wedding prep

Even as a small time Megan and Steve were going to have a grand time. It began with a fun session with a hair and makeup pro from Headlines coming to Megan in the early afternoon. A beautiful long do bound with lilies gave her a very natural appeal. As for her bouquet, a natural hand tied bouquet wrapped in satin ribbon with long cut calla lilies.

Later that afternoon the ceremony began at the glamorous Casa Marina’s East Beach. There are the end of a pure white aisle and before the striking view of the Atlantic Ocean, Megan and Justin spoke their vows.

A cocktail hour followed shortly after with butlered hors’ doeuvres of brie and pear phyllo purse, salmon tartare, beef tataki with bleu cheese and wasabi aioli, and classic conch fritters. Guests were surrounded by luxury, as well as gorgeous floral arrangements of white calla lilies by Love in Bloom. And a fabulous dinner was served including herb and cider roasted chicken, blackened mahi with lemon beurre blanc, and white mushroom ravioli with sage butter.

What do you get when you combine high fashion and destination wedding? You have Lauren and Justin’s high fashion wedding.

Combining absolutely stunning detail and grand design, Lauren and Justin made their destination wedding one to remember with the finest accoutrements on Little Palm Island in the Florida Keys.

On a lovely Saturday it all kicked off with a delivery of gorgeous flowers from Avant Gardens. Lauren’s bouquet was cascading with vendela roses, white spray roses, accents of light pink cymbidium orchids and phaelenopsis orchids.

In the afternoon, Lauren began preparations with hair and makeup. She did a fantastic job making her eyelashes pop and her hair flow. Even with a long do, it held up brilliantly throughout the day outdoors.

Lauren and Justin matched up perfectly, too. Lauren’s dress was a stunning backless number in lace, while Justin was decked out all in white.

With acoustic music courtesy of Rusty Lemmon, the ceremony got underway officiated by local wedding master John Hernandez. It was held on the shining Front Beach of Little Palm Island, a secluded area with an endless view of the ocean. Lauren and Justin took their places beneath a bridal canopy of ivory organza as it billowed in the wind, and surrounded by clustered florals of white hydrangea, vendela roses and cascading white phaelenopsis.

A lovely cocktail reception was held there a short time later, with crab cakes and chipotle mayo, mini kobe beef hamburgers with gorgonzola, cherry peppers with goat cheese, watermelon and feta, caviar blinis with créme fraiche, and tequila lime chicken with jalapeno pesto. No, indeed that wasn’t dinner.

Dinner was held among tables decorated in ivory with grand centerpieces arranged in glass cylinders and votives, while the head table received an elongated design with garnier vases , and includeding crystals hanging with glass spheres and with candles. Dinner itself was an elaborate 4-course feast with such gourmet delights as avocado soup, ceviche, and a spiny lobster risotto with mascarpone and parmigiano cheese withand black truffle. And the coup de grace, the wedding cake, red velvet with cream cheese filling.

Lauren and Justin brought such style and taste to this destination fashion wedding. It just proves that it doesn’t matter if you’re in the city or on an island, if you really want to have it all, it’s possible.

Great things come in small packages, and Ellen and Aaron’s small destination wedding on Little Palm Island was no exception. With a smaller gathering they were able to go big with the quality and design of their special day.

The day before the wedding was a day of fun as guests arrived. The day culminated in a leisurely sunset sail with Sebago in Key West catered by Great Events.

009_ellenaaron

Ellen and Aaron’s wedding day kicked off with the usual deliveries while Ellen and her ladies prepared. The professional team at Studio Marie-Pierre arrived to glamorize Ellen with a beautiful updo and luscious lashes and lips. Limelight Videography and Ambrosio Photography each arrived to begin capturing the day’s events. And flowers from the impeccable Avant Gardens were delivered, including a fantastic bouquet of vendela roses, pink garden roses, light pink majolica spray roses and white blooms filled in, with accents of seeded eucalyptus and a collar of sallal greens.

019_ellenaaron

The always anticipated First Look took place a short time later with Ellen and Aaron. You can see how happy they are, how young they are, the nerves and the pent up energy. It was all precious as they looked forward to the big moment.

257_Ceremony

The ceremony began on Little Palm’s Front Beach with acoustic music by Chad Burtch in the background. A positively stunning wedding canopy by Avant Gardens filled the view with a circular floral suspended with white dendrobium orchids cascading. With the ocean filling the view from behind it was the perfect picture.

350_Ceremony

A cocktail reception received the newly minted Mr. and Mrs. Fleetwood with Caribbean conch fritters in mango habanero remoulade, bahn mi (crispy pig ears), avocado tempura mini tacos and kobe beef carpaccio. The setting was magical with ornate centerpieces and accents in gold.

603_Details

Dinner was even more magical, with golden candelabras, more cascading florals, clusters in gold cache pots and gold beaded tulle overlays at the tables – it was pure grandiosity. Dinner was a great success with features such as coconut lobster bisque, filet mignon and moulard duck breast. It was topped off with a delicious cake from Cakes by Karol, three tiers of pure happiness from red velvet to chocolate to rum cake, each with a unique cream filling.

So small can be as big as you dare to imagine. For Ellen and Aaron, once you have the people you love around you, the sky is the limit.

Tradition can be so important in a wedding, and yet, when there’s room for something new, a bride and groom can absolutely transform it into a one-of-a-kind experience. This is just what Jessica and Jason accomplished with their traditional destination wedding at Casa Marina in Key West.

It began with a visit from the hair and makeup team at Studio Marie-Pierre. Jessica’s hair was exquisite, held up beautifully and able to endure a day in the ocean breeze. Her eyes were sparkling as she donned her veil in a perfect strapless dress. Floral arrangement was done by the extravagant Milan Event, presenting white orchids with pale pink and light coral roses.

Jessica's wedding prepStacey Ambrosio arrived for photos, capturing some of the most precious moments of the day. She was complemented by Artistry Wedding Films who would be recording throughout. The family assembled for photos, as well as Jessica and Jason themselves who are captured in a fantastic First Look set.

Jessica + Jason's first look in sunlight

The traditional wedding entered with the ketubah signing, a special Jewish rite that accompanies the marriage license that encompasses not only vows, but promises that Jessica and Jason were making that day. After a ride in the famous Conch Tour Train, guests arrived at Casa Marina and made their way to the West Beach. Over a hundred chairs were set up with kippas on hand for all and a beautiful chuppah awaiting the bride and groom by the oceanside with wedding florals arcing overhead. The scene was set for the perfect destination wedding in full Jewish fashion.

Jessica + Jason at the altar

The night began with a cocktail reception on Flagler’s Patio with tiki torches burning and the acoustic talents of Chad Burtch in the background. Butlered hors d’oeuvres were enjoyed including watermelon drop with goat cheese, barbecue chicken empanadas, ceviche style cilantro lime tuna lollipop, and phyllo purses of pear and brie. Additionally, there was a fun seafood shack display with Key Lime marinated fish ceviche with cilantro, shrimp shooters and sushi rolls.

Dinner was set and served at tables adorned with tall centerpieces of white hydrangea, pale pink and peach roses and garden roses on fountain vases with hanging crystal and amaranthus, as well as arrangements in silver footed bowls with glass pillar holders, and silver mercury votives. Light was all around. And dinner itself included salads of all sorts, macaroni and cheese brulee with choices of lobster, bacon, scallion and more, and Brazilian sirloin with chimichurri and burgundy sauces, as well as pan seared Mahi Mahi.

Jessica + Jason's reception at Casa Marina

The cake was another work of art from Cakes by Karol, a 3-tier delight of vanilla with chocolate buttercream filling on a base of chocolate with vanilla buttercream. Another six dozen mini desserts were also provided, key lime tarts, strawberry shortcake trifle and mini red velvet cupcakes.

At the end of the day it was tradition all the way, with a flare and design that was uniquely Jessica and Jason.

Sara and Brian’s destination wedding was nothing short of fabulous. With their constant smiles and classic sense of fashion you could feel the energy just buzzing around them. We’re all about making memories and Simply You was privileged to be a part of that energy for them.

Simply You’s Erica made sure no detail went unattended. It all began with the wedding rehearsal at Ocean Terrace the day before the wedding. After a day in the Key West sun, Sara and Brian hosted a warm get-together with a rehearsal dinner at the Oldest House. Dinner featured boiled shrimp, potatoes, corn, sausage and barbecue. Guests enjoyed the meal among cylinder vases of Green Fuji mums, Queen Anne’s lace, white lisianthus, pink hypericum berries, white limonium and pink orange snapdragons by Love in Bloom.

Sara and Brian’s wedding day began with set up at Ocean Key Resort. Chandeliers were hung beneath the tent and a classic black and white checkered dance floor laid out. Love in Bloom delivered bespoke wedding florals for the wedding party, including a natural hand tied bridal bouquet with white satin ribbon featuring exotic hydrangea, white calla lilies, white dendrobium and green cymbidium orchids. Meanwhile, Sara and her ladies were met by the professionals from Casa Salon for hair and makeup.

Once everyone was dressed and ready, Sara and Brian met with photographer Christy Transier for a fun and energizing first look shoot. Sara wore a stunning lace down well Brian wore a smart yet casual cream suit with light green pinstripes. You can see from their smiles that there is no place they would rather be and no one with whom they would rather be. By 6 PM everyone was in place at Ocean Terrace before two iron pedestals topped with gorgeous floral wedding arrangements.

Day gave way to sunset and also the cocktail reception. Butlered hors d’oeuvres were served including öyster Bloody Mary shooters, mini conch fritters with Key lime mustard aïoli, Mojo pork with manchego cheese and guava barbecue empanadas, and braised short ribs with pickled red onion, crème fraîche and cilantro on a wonton crisp. A short time after Key West’s famous sunset, dinner was served amidst lanterns and orchids with ferns on the surround creating a sense of intimacy. Baby green salad with hearts of palm led the way, then a pasta station with over a dozen fresh ingredients, full grill and a guacamole station with all sorts for nibbling guests later on.

Sara and Brian looked like they couldn’t be more in love. We hope the memory of this magical day will feed the flame for years to come.

The Keys mean color, and color is what Kerri and Scot wanted in their dream destination wedding. Held on the beautiful beaches of Fort Zachary Taylor and celebrated within the historic grounds of Ernest Hemingway’s former home, these two went all out for fun.

blueyeimages_murdoch_0703_web_web

Nestled in Old Town Key West, they enjoyed the amenities of a popular B&B, The Lighthouse (with a literal view of our lighthouse just outside the window!). An intimate rehearsal dinner for 20 was held nearby at Grunts, a local favorite near all of downtown’s attractions but without all the glitz and noise.

blueyeimages_murdoch_0003_web_web

Kerri and Scot’s wedding day kicked off with a visit to Kerri’s suite by the pros from Studio Marie-Pierre, one of the premiere hair and makeup designers in South Florida. Meanwhile, delivery of personal flowers from Milan Event was taken with bouquets of green hydrangea for the bridesmaids (and white hydrangea for Kerri), pale pink garden roses, white callas and orchids, succulents and more, rounding out a playful, and colorful, arrangement for every woman in the bridal party.

blueyeimages_murdoch_0078_web_web

Lona of Blueye Images was on hand to capture the day’s events, including a First Look that is so full of vibrant imagery. Shocking blues, tropical greens, pulsing pinks and reds and more emanate from every photo she took of Kerri and Scot’s perfect wedding.

blueyeimages_murdoch_0469_web_web

Key West’s famous Conch Tour Train and Old Town Trolley brought guests to Fort Zachary Taylor, a local treasure for its historic fort and clean, natural beaches with an unbeatable sunset exposure. Milan Event arranged a brilliant modern design with a bamboo arch under organza and decorated with a ruscus garland, white orchid and pink lily accents.

blueyeimages_murdoch_0716_web_web

In the evening at Hemingway’s house, guests were treated to hors d’oeuvres by Great Events, a gourmet selection of roasted thin corn cakes with barbecue shrimp, portabella and goat cheese stuffed profiteroles, burrata cheese served on a salted wonton, and lobster and grilled corn quesadillas.

blueyeimages_murdoch_0742_web_web

Dinner commenced with a refreshing salad selection of Cuban style with plantain chips, avocados and mango poppy seed vinaigrette, or arugula with feta cheese and mojito vinaigrette. This was followed by Great Events’ EVO grill; 5-ounce lobster tails with drawn butter, grilled barbecue chicken, blackened and grilled mahi mahi with mango tropical salsa, steamed clams in broth and fresh herbs, and Old Bay shrimp with chorizo and boiled corn.

blueyeimages_murdoch_0767_web_web

Kerri and Scot’s cake was also a gourmet delight from from Cakes by Karol. Along with 200 individual desserts like Key Lime tarts, salted caramel tarts, Key Lime cupcakes and banana créme shooters, they enjoyed a cake of their own in Key Lime with raspberry filling under vanilla butter cream.

blueyeimages_murdoch_0902_web_web

You can see for yourself it was a festive occasion just bursting with color. Kerry and Scot made the most of their destination and the choices it offered, and it was an absolute blast.

Pamela and Richard were one of the cutest couples ever in their vintage look. And not only did they look great, but they felt great, too. A little comfort in style goes a long way to making your wedding day into a wonderful memory. Not only that, but the locale suited the occasion so well I’m not sure there’s a better place they could have done it.

vintage chic wedding comfort

Pam and Rich stayed at the prestigious Weatherstation Inn, a classy hotel overlooking the channel on Key West’s western shore. This is located in the heart of the Truman Annex, one of the island’s most exclusive neighborhoods having played host to residents like Presidents Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy, Jimmy Carter and the Clintons. The nearby Truman Little White House was the epicenter of this tiny community and it infused the area with the everlasting charm and confident fashion of the Forties.

truman annex vintage locale

After a relaxing spa day in preparation for their wedding day, a welcome dinner was held at the Roof Top Cafe overlooking Whitehead Street in Old Town Key West.

all white wedding flowers

The wedding day arrived to perfect weather and high spirits. Pamela received special attention from a team of stylists from Studio Marie-Pierre. Meanwhile, Milan Event completed delivery of gorgeous florals for the day’s events. Personal flowers included white ranunculus with seeded eucalyptus, and for the Bride and Bridesmaids, arrangements of elegant white and ivory garden roses with additional ranunculus and sweat pea and also ivory astilby.

wedding dress prep wedding dress prep

Laura Leslie Photography arrived to capture each phase beginning with Pamela’s prep. She looked stunning in her vintage chic wedding dress. A First Look shoot took place shortly after in the Truman Annex. Elsewhere, Milan Event continued their beautiful work on-site at the glorious gardens of the Audubon House. This comparatively aged location is one of the most well preserved and highly desired venues in all of Key West, with its tropical gardens and intimate setting. Milan Event complemented the scene with arrangements of all white hydrangea and garden roses, snapdragons and seeded eucalyptus atop white columns, and aisle markers of small white baskets with garden florals.

audubon house outdoor wedding

The ceremony began at 6:30pm. At this time of year in Key West, a later time ensures that guests won’t be overcome by the heat or sitting in direct sunlight during the proceedings. But the southernmost city still promises a brilliant summer ceremony, and that’s exactly what Pam and Rich had.

Their cocktail reception hosted 60 guests at Audubon House, where Great Events Catering served up crab cakes with chili lime dipping sauce, bacon wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese and almonds, and Beef en Croute with apple wood bacon and maytag bleu cheese in an herb puff pastry. Music was provided by talented Florida Keys musician Rusty Lemmon.

smores bites hors d'oeuvres black beauty chocolate mousse peanut butter crust hors d'oeuvres wedding dessert hors d'oeuvres

Dinner came a short time later. Centerpieces adorned the tables with large Moroccan lanterns and vases with mixed all white arrangements, as well as a lush green garland mix and copper accents. Guests were treated to corn dusted Mahi Mahi topped with blackened shrimp, braised short ribs with gorgonzola spoon bread, or grilled butternut squash “steaks” with red wine syrup and garlic mash.

all white wedding flowers all white wedding flowers

And the night wouldn’t be complete without the wedding cake. This was a 2-tier treat of yellow cake with Key lime mousse filling on top of carrot cake with cream cheese filling.

all white 2-tier round wedding cake

Alas, such a night wasn’t meant to last and eventually a trolley came round to take everyone home like a gently humming carriage in the midnight breeze.

pam and rich wedding toast

So it turns out that even in a warm subtropical climate like Key West you don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort. And even though a marriage is sometimes about compromise, I’m pleased Pam and Rich didn’t settle on this one. It was definitely worth it.

A wedding is a joyous occasion. It’s happy, bright, full of beauty and well wishes. And because the bride and groom should be focused on nothing but each other, on that day of all days they shouldn’t have to worry about the details. Our job at Simply You is to let them relax into it.

Kate and Wes were so relaxed. All they needed was to get dressed – not stressed – and everything else would be taken care of.

It started with a gorgeous Monday morning at Little Palm Island. Tables and chairs were already being set up for the evening’s festivities. The beach was combed and cleared of debris and other distractions. The reception included a single table to seat 12 with rich mahogany chiavari chairs, surrounded by tiki torches.

Floral arrangements were created by Milan Event in Key West, 3 medium revere bowls with white hydrangea, white and cream roses with green cymbidium bloom accents and an assortment of mercury glass votives. Gorgeous white cake flowers were also provided.

Katie's wedding dress

Little Palm Island’s own spa rendered hair and makeup services for Kate. A day on the beach called for a hairstyle that would endure. A sleek updo would do the trick. Likewise, Kate’s makeup adopted a natural look that would be complemented by the beach setting, so that she wouldn’t appear washed out in fully lit photos or become too rosy under the sun.

Michael escorts Kate to the ceremony

Kate’s style now completed, the guests gathered on the beach where the bride was escorted by her father to nature’s altar by the seaside. Reverend Steve Torrence wed Kate and Wes under a bright southern sun with the Atlantic Ocean stretching into infinity behind.

Photographer Stacey Ambrosio captured wonderful scenes throughout the day and into the evening as guests proceeded to the cocktail reception. Butlered hors d’oeuvres were served of crispy crab cakes with chipotle mayonnaise, conch fritter with mango remoulade, and smoked salmon mini clubs with micro greens and chive cream cheese. After a delicious dinner by Little Palm Island, the coup de grace – a fabulous Key Lime cake with raspberry filling.

You can see the pure joy, the release of being completely looked after and having only one thing – one person – as the center of all their attention. As ever, we were only too happy to serve. Congratulations, Kate and Wes. Way to relax into it.

Last year Simply You’s Erica Fuhrman had the pleasure of working with Ashley Miller and Joe Smith on their destination wedding in Key West. This is a couple who knew what they had in mind down to the details. As you’ll see in the photos to follow, there wasn’t any little thing that hadn’t been carefully considered. The process can seem grueling for some, but not for Ashley and Joe. They made it fun, and that’s really what it’s all about when you’re putting so much energy and effort into making a destination wedding really successful.

The week opened up with Ashley and Joe’s arrival in Key West at the Marquesa on Simonton Street. It’s a classy Conch hangout with fine dining and a “new Old World” charm about it. After a day spent finalizing arrangements, Friday brought on the rehearsal. Everyone gathered at Fort Zachary Taylor for midday, and later that night at another popular Key West spot, 915 Duval.

Wedding Day was underway early with deliveries from Prestige of rich mahogany chiavari chairs and a classic black and white checked dancefloor. Meanwhile, Lorri of Key West Hair and Makeup met up with Ashley at the Marquesa. While Lorri was curling and teasing, Ashley enjoyed champagne and the company of her mother and bridesmaids. Flowers were soon delivered by Milan Event, a fantastical assortment of themed flowers with white or coral ranunculus, and bouquets of white hydrangea, white roses, pale pink spray roses, white ranunculus and dusty miller wrapped in understated burlap.

With Ashley’s makeup nearing completion, Johnna Brynn arrived to photograph her getting ready. Elsewhere, at Hemingway House, Great Events Catering and Soundwave Productions arrived to set up for the evening feast and Erica was supervising final preparations. The famous Conch Tour Train pulled up to the Marquesa to pick up the Bride and her party and whisked them off to Fort Zach. What a fun way to get from A to B in this funky little town.

Waiting at the head of the aisle with the ocean in grand relief was Father Larry Hooper and Ashley’s smiling groom, Joe. Everyone was all smiles as you can see (well, Joe had a tear or two, but they were pure joy). Where else can you wear flip flops with waistcoats and sport horn-rimmed sunglasses with formal wear? With a prayer and a cheer, these two happy souls took a moment to watch the sun over the water, then took a private train to Hemingway’s house for the feast.

At Papa’s poolside there were hors d’oeuvres of beef carpaccio on parmesan wafers with pesto, mini cherry tomato caprese on peppered brioche, bacon wrapped scallops with citrus agave, and slow roasted mojo pork carnitas with grilled pineapple mojo verde. Milan Event added some beautiful touches with white floating orchids in Papa’s pool.

centerpieces with lanterns and pink lysianthus

They did even better at dinner with 6 tables full of Portuguese glass vases of white hydrangea, lanterns set between pink calla lilies and pink and coral roses, all on aqua linens that popped in the light. As the sun set, dinner was served. Guests enjoyed Caesar salads with grilled pineapple, or a mixed greens Samba salad with avocado and mango. Ceviche was tendered in four varieties from tuna with avocado and yuzu ponzu, to roasted beets with blood oranges and yucca chips, and smoked mahi mahi with jicama, or a classic Key West “pinks” shrimp presentation. Skewers were served up from the Polynesian style grill for all to see, a real show with dinner including Jerk style chicken, Thai beef with lime and cilantro, and tuna rubbed in seven spices and grilled truffle oil glazed vegetables.

The sweet side of dinner was a broad assortment of gourmet cupcakes from Cakes by Karol in flavors of Key Lime, Mini cheesecakes, Chocolate raspberry surprise shooters, Chocolate trifles, red velvet mini cupcakes with cream cheese icing, Creme brulee, and topped off with a 6” cake top of white chocolate with strawberry filling under vanilla butter cream.

So was the evening fun? You’ve seen the photos and you’ve seen the smiles. Ashley and Joe had a day to remember for a lifetime. That’s what Simply You is working to give couples – the opportunity to let it be enjoyable right from the beginning. Let it fill you up with anticipation. Let the vision come together the more you invest in it and see it become what you knew it could be.

Congratulations, Ashley and Joe, and best wishes.

Special thanks go to our partner vendors, Fort Zachary Taylor, The Hemingway House, Marquesa, Great Events Catering, Prestige Party Rentals, Milan Event, BBJ Linen, Johnna Brynn Photography, Musician Jim Wist, Soundwave Productions, Cakes by Karol, Lorri of Key West Hair & Makeup, Historic Tours of America’s Conch Tour Train, 915 Duval, and Father Larry Hooper of St. Paul’s Church.

Traditional weddings are some of the most elegant and most challenging weddings for a couple to plan. It’s important to them to include the elements that are close to their hearts, but they also want to make sure they’re visually and sensually stunning.

Carla and Justin pulled it off perfectly.

It all began with an incredible welcome for all their guests at one of our most popular local destinations, Conch Republic Seafood Company, located in Key West’s historic seaport district. Guests enjoyed butlered appetizers including bacon wrapped scallops, beef wellington, and mushroom and goat cheese tarts. Dinner was served buffet style with crab cakes, jumbo shrimp cocktail, Masterchef stuffed shrimp and a broad selection of fresh sushi rolls, and a Key West classic – fresh oysters on the half shell.

Carla's wedding makeup by Studio Marie-PierreThe wedding day began with a visit to the Bride’s suite at Casa Marina by Studio Marie-Pierre. A full session with these hair and makeup experts created fabulous effects for all the ladies of the bridal party. Meanwhile, one of our favorite floral designers, Milan Event Florals & Decor, delivered a grand presentation that was simply breathtaking: lavender rose wrist corsages and white orchid boutonnieres with lavender accents, and a bouquet of all white roses tied with ivory ribbon.

Decor also brought understated grandeur to Casa Marina’s Flagler Ballroom, with white padded silver chiavari chairs, and silver beaded charger plates set with purple smoke shantung linen and silver for the head table. Milan Event’s masterful centerpieces were placed on fountain vases, all white arrangements of hydrangea and white roses, orchids, lilies with Italian ruscus and white orchids floating in vases. To top it all off was a 5-arm candelabra with julep cup arrangements of white hydrangea, roses and calla lilies.

The ceremony commenced at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, a true piece ofKey West history. Inside, surrounded by priceless restored stained glass, the only touches needed were two garlands of babies breath and lemon leaf, two stone columns topped by the trademark all white arrangements, and a single runner of pure white. Reverend Larry Hooper received Carla and Justin at the altar where they solemnized their vows in traditional fashion. A short time later bells were ringing and the organ shouting their celebration throughout Old Town.Carla and Justin just married at St. Paul's Church in Old Town Key West

The famous Conch Tour Train conveyed guests to Casa Marina while the Bride and Groom made their exit in a white vintage Rolls Royce, the perfect getaway vehicle for a classy couple. A cocktail reception got underway on Flagler’s Patio as torches burned into the evening. Vintage chic regalia were placed there, like a bird cage for cards and a map for guests to sign. Hors d’oeuvres consisted of ahi tuna on crispy wontons, lemon and clove duck confit with spiced currant chutney, phyllo purses with pear and brie, and, of course, oysters on the half shell.

Dinner began with the acoustic talent of Rusty Lemmon and Robin Whitehead playing in the background. Pan seared jumbo scallops with roasted tomato, artichoke and fennel salad comprised the first course, followed by spinach crepes with ricotta cheese, sundried tomato pesto sauces and crispy pancetta. Finally, a duo of tenderloin rubbed with truffle butter in a burgundy reduction and a lemon and garlic glazed lobster tail. To top it off, designer desserts served with flavors like Key lime tarts, chocolate covered strawberries, tiramisu trifle and authentic macaroons from France. The supreme finish was a 3-tier wedding cake of red velvet with cream cheese filling and almond buttercream.

Carla and Justin’s dedication to a traditional wedding led to an awesome fusion of vintage taste and contemporary glamour. In a way, it’s the perfect combination for any marriage – keeping love’s old flame burning with new nourishment. May it burn long and bright for Carla and Justin.
